Change the trajectory of a child’s life.
Just as Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches” in John 15:5, we believe that we are called to be an extension of God’s love to children. If you’re exploring becoming a foster parent, our team would love to train, guide, and pray for you every step of the way.
Parent confidently with a trusted team on your side.
At Branching Out, we support the entire family. That’s why we take a holistic approach to foster care—meeting emotional, spiritual, and physical needs.

Foster Parent Requirements
To start fostering, you must meet these minimum requirements:
5 Steps to Becoming a Foster Parent
Fill Out an Interest Form
To start the foster care process, fill out an interest form so we can connect you with local opportunities.
Turn In Paperwork
Next, you’ll turn in all necessary paperwork and certifications, such as medical reports, birth certificates, marriage certificates, references, and employment verification.
Complete a Home Study
You will then be required to answer questionnaires, complete interviews, and have an in-home visit.
Pass a Background Check
Your background check may include fingerprinting, local police and motor vehicle records checks, National Sexual Offender Registry Clearance, and more.
Take All Required Trainings
We will help you complete approximately 10 weeks of training ahead of becoming an approved foster parent. And after you bring a child into your home, we will continue to support you and offer monthly trainings.
Foster to Adopt
Couples and individuals who choose to foster to adopt with us will be carefully screened, trained, and guided.
Our treatment team will help make the best possible match for you and a youth in foster care. Contact us to learn more about fostering to adopt.
